software design

The software used to create the actual database will be Microsoft Access. Access comes as part of Microsoft Office which most companies will have already installed or failing that it’s available as a stand alone package. Microsoft Access provides an inexpensive yet powerful database solution for small-scale projects.

The software used to create the interfaces which will be used to output and record the data will be a combination of Adobe Director and Microsoft Visual Basic.

Once created the interfaces are licence free, by this we mean you can have as many instances of the software as you like on numerous machines all operating on the one database.
